The GENISEV EV Simulator is a professional electric vehicle (EV) simulation platform designed for testing, validating and commissioning AC and DC EV charging stations without requiring a physical electric vehicle. It accurately emulates EV charging behaviour according to IEC 61851 and ISO 15118 standards, enabling charger manufacturers, automotive OEMs, EVSE developers and testing laboratories to verify charging communication, interoperability and charging performance in a safe, repeatable environment..
The GENISEV EV Simulator is developed to simulate the complete behaviour of an electric vehicle during AC and DC charging. Instead of connecting a real EV, engineers can use the simulator to validate charging stations, charging controllers and communication protocols throughout product development, production testing and field commissioning.
The simulator reproduces the charging process from vehicle connection through charging negotiation, energy transfer and charging completion. It supports internationally recognised charging standards including IEC 61851 for conductive charging control and ISO 15118 for high-level EV charging communication, making it suitable for interoperability and compliance testing.
Using an EV simulator significantly reduces testing time while eliminating the need for an actual electric vehicle during development. Engineers can configure different battery states, charging parameters and communication scenarios to verify charger functionality under controlled laboratory conditions.
The platform supports hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, charger software validation, communication protocol verification and charging controller development. It enables manufacturers to evaluate charger performance before field deployment while ensuring compatibility with different electric vehicle implementations.
The simulator accurately reproduces electric vehicle charging behaviour, allowing charging stations to be tested under realistic operating conditions without connecting an actual EV.
Supports conductive charging control according to IEC 61851, including Control Pilot (CP) signalling required for EV charging communication.
Supports high-level communication based on ISO 15118, enabling validation of advanced charging communication between electric vehicles and charging stations.
Designed for validation of both AC and DC charging systems depending on the selected hardware configuration.
The simulator can emulate:
