The GENISEV EVSE Simulator is a professional Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) simulation platform developed for testing, validating and commissioning electric vehicle charging systems. Designed for EV manufacturers, charger developers, R&D laboratories and compliance testing facilities, it simulates real charging station behaviour based on IEC 61851 and ISO 15118 communication standards. It enables engineers to verify EV charging performance, charging protocols, fault handling and interoperability without requiring a physical charging station..
The GENISEV EVSE Simulator is designed to emulate the complete behaviour of an AC or DC charging station, allowing engineers to validate Electric Vehicle (EV) charging systems during development, production and certification. It provides a safe and repeatable environment for testing charging communication, charging control logic, interoperability and fault conditions before connecting to an actual charging station.
Supporting internationally recognised charging standards such as IEC 61851 and ISO 15118, the simulator enables developers to evaluate the complete charging process from initial connection through charging negotiation to charging completion. It significantly reduces development time while improving testing accuracy for electric vehicles and charging equipment.
The simulator supports hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, software validation, communication protocol analysis and interoperability verification. Engineers can simulate different charging scenarios, connector states and charging conditions to ensure reliable operation under real-world conditions.
The simulator accurately reproduces the behaviour of an electric vehicle charging station, enabling realistic charging tests throughout the development cycle.
Supports EV charging control according to the IEC 61851 standard for conductive charging systems.
Supports high-level communication between electric vehicles and charging stations using ISO 15118 protocols for advanced charging applications.
Capable of simulating both AC and DC charging environments depending on the configured hardware and software options.
Simulates the complete charging sequence including:
Enables verification of communication between:
Suitable for Hardware-in-the-Loop environments where real hardware interacts with simulated charging infrastructure.
Validates compatibility between different EVs and charging systems before field deployment.
Allows engineers to introduce charging faults and abnormal operating conditions for system validation and troubleshooting.
Typical fault scenarios include:
Enables charging communication testing without exposing engineers or equipment to unnecessary electrical risks associated with live charging stations.
