The SeaLINK+16.VC delivers a true plug-and-play solution for connecting up to 16 serial devices using only one USB port. Its VersaCom interface design ensures both RS-232 and 2-wire RS-485 are always present on each RJ45 port, allowing users to select the correct wiring externally without opening the enclosure. This dramatically simplifies installation and minimizes downtime during service or reconfiguration.
The 2167 features a state-machine-based USB-to-serial conversion architecture that significantly reduces CPU load during high-throughput operations. It also includes two additional USB ports for daisy-chaining or USB peripheral expansion.
