The VectorStar ME7848A provides a robust solution for characterizing high-frequency opto-electronic components across major telecom and datacom wavelengths. With its modular design, users can adapt the system as measurement needs evolve—from basic O/E testing with the ME7848A-100 series to comprehensive O/E, E/O, and O/O analysis with the ME7848A-200 configuration.

The included MN4765B O/E calibration module ensures precise, traceable measurements, while the MN4775A E/O converter allows seamless optical signal generation and conversion for full vector characterization. The analyzer's architecture supports up to 110 GHz bandwidth, making it well-suited for testing advanced photonic devices, high-speed receivers, modulators, and balanced/differential components.

The system also enables electrical-only S-parameter testing (S11, S22) and can be configured with balanced measurement options for differential signaling analysis.
