The UFCS series from PMK offers the highest precision for current measurement in fast-switching power electronics systems. Designed with power device engineers in mind, UFCS shunts combine ultra-wide bandwidth, extremely low parasitics, and flexible connection options, making them an ideal tool for accurate power loss characterization and high-speed diagnostics.

Each UFCS model features:

  • SMA signal output

  • Two conductive connection points:

    • “IN” (input) for the current source

    • “SHLD” (shield) for return/ground
      This configuration ensures all current flows through the shunt while minimizing interference and improving measurement fidelity.

They’re compatible with both direct 50 Ω oscilloscope inputs and optical probes (like FireFly®) using the proper adapter. The SHLD surface must be at the same electrical potential as oscilloscope ground when used in non-isolated setups.

Whether soldered, clamped, or wire-attached, UFCS shunts integrate easily into any test setup. Their rugged, open-frame design ensures durability and consistent performance even under harsh conditions or high-speed switching environments.
