The Sonic® 4000 is an active, single-ended probe that delivers DC to >4 GHz bandwidth for high-speed analog and digital signal measurements. Designed to handle ±8 V dynamic signals and ±12 V input offset, it’s the ideal solution for in-circuit debugging, validation, and signal analysis in sensitive electronic designs.
With <0.6 pF input capacitance and 2 MΩ input resistance, it ensures minimal loading on the circuit under test. The probe’s high-impedance reference connection prevents direct grounding, avoiding accidental short circuits and enabling safe energized circuit testing.
The Sonic® 4000 features a universal BNC interface, compatible with any oscilloscope with 50 Ω input impedance (or 1 MΩ with a 50 Ω feed-through).
Power and control are handled via PMK’s PS-02 or PS-03 remote-controllable power supplies, or the AP-01 battery pack for >8 hours of portable, isolated operation. Remote features include DC offset adjustment and integration with PMK’s software or Python automation via pmk-probes.
Cable length is 1.3 m by default and customizable on request.
