The SeaI/O-530U-OEM-ROHS is tailored for OEM applications, enabling control and monitoring of 16 optically isolated inputs (5-30VDC) and 16 open-collector outputs through a USB interface. Inputs are grouped into four-bit segments with shared commons, while outputs are organized in eight-bit ports with shared high and low voltage inputs, all connected via removable 3.5mm terminal blocks for easy wiring. Each open-collector output includes a flyback diode to protect against voltage spikes from inductive loads, such as DC motors. The module is powered by a 9-30VDC source (1.4W) or optional Sealevel power supplies.
Communication is supported via Sealevel’s SeaMAX API software libraries or any Modbus RTU-compliant device, with compatibility for Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems. The module supports expansion with up to 246 additional SeaI/O N-series modules, offering options like Reed and Form C relays, TTL interfaces, and A/D or D/A functionality. The SeaLATCH locking USB port, paired with the included USB cable, ensures a secure connection to prevent accidental disconnections. The board-only design is ideal for OEM integration, operating reliably in temperatures from -25°C to 85°C. The Digital I/O Handbook, particularly Chapter 1, provides valuable logic principles for development.
