The SeaI/O-530U is designed for robust digital I/O applications, allowing users to control and monitor 16 optically isolated inputs and 16 open-collector outputs through a USB interface. Inputs, ranging from 5-30VDC, are grouped into four-bit segments with shared commons for easy wiring via removable 3.5mm terminal blocks. The open-collector outputs, grouped in eight-bit ports with shared high and low voltage inputs, include flyback diodes to protect against voltage spikes from inductive loads, such as DC motors. The module is powered by a 9-30VDC source (1.7W) or optional Sealevel power supplies.
Communication is facilitated through Sealevel’s SeaMAX API software libraries or any Modbus RTU-compliant device, ensuring compatibility with Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems. The SeaI/O-530U supports network expansion with up to 246 additional SeaI/O N-series modules, offering options like Reed and Form C relays, TTL interfaces, and A/D or D/A functionality. The integrated SeaLATCH locking USB port, paired with the included USB cable, prevents accidental disconnections. The module can be mounted on a DIN rail or table, operating reliably in temperatures from -25°C to 85°C.
