The SeaI/O-530E is an Ethernet-based I/O module providing 16 optically isolated inputs and 16 open-collector outputs. The optically isolated inputs are designed for use in industrial environments, offering 300V external isolation to protect against electrical noise and transients. The inputs can handle 5-30VDC, making them suitable for a wide range of control and monitoring applications.
The open-collector outputs are capable of sinking high currents, making them ideal for controlling inductive loads, such as DC motors. Each output is protected by a flyback diode, ensuring safe operation when switching inductive loads. The module's outputs are grouped into eight-bit ports, simplifying wiring and control.
Communication is facilitated via Modbus TCP over Ethernet, enabling remote control and monitoring of the system. The module is powered by a 9–30VDC source and is equipped with removable screw terminals for easy field wiring.
For system expansion, the SeaI/O-530E supports up to 246 additional SeaI/O N-series modules via pass-through connectors. Additionally, the Sealevel Modbus Connect app allows for remote access to the module’s I/O for testing and troubleshooting.
