The SeaI/O-530M is a multifunction I/O expansion module that connects via RS-485 and communicates using the Modbus RTU protocol. It features 16 optically isolated digital inputs that accept 5–30VDC signals, making it ideal for noise-prone industrial environments. The isolation protects control electronics from voltage transients and ground loops.
It also offers 16 open-collector outputs capable of high-current sinking and ideal for controlling devices such as LEDs, solenoids, and DC motors. Each output is equipped with a flyback diode, protecting the circuit from inductive load switching. Inputs are grouped in 4-bit commons, while outputs are organized in 8-bit ports, simplifying system wiring using removable terminal blocks.
The unit is powered via a 9–30VDC source and supports seamless integration with Sealevel’s SeaMAX API for Windows and Linux systems. The SeaI/O-530M is housed in a durable enclosure and can be scaled using SeaI/O N-series modules for up to 246 expansion nodes.
