The SeaI/O-580PoE is a PoE-enabled Ethernet I/O module designed for applications requiring 32 isolated dry contact inputs. The dry contact inputs are ideal for monitoring devices such as alarm contacts, HVAC systems, and other industrial control systems. The module requires no external power to trigger inputs, simplifying the installation and operation.

The module is powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE), meaning both data and power are delivered over a single CAT5 cable. The module conforms to IEEE 802.3af-2003 and operates as a Class 0 device, which eliminates the need for external power sources. 24 VDC is provided for powering additional SeaI/O expansion modules via an RS-485 pass-through connector.

Communication with the module is facilitated using Modbus TCP over Ethernet, making it ideal for remote control and monitoring. The SeaI/O-580PoE also supports the Sealevel Modbus Connect app for iOS, allowing users to remotely access I/O systems and perform diagnostics.
