The 7404 COMM+4.PCI is a four-port asynchronous PCI serial interface built for flexible communication in industrial and embedded applications. Each port is field-configurable for RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485, allowing mixed-mode deployments from a single card.
Featuring 16C864 UARTs, the card provides high-throughput and efficient data handling. It supports speeds up to 460.8K bps, and in RS-485 mode, it includes an auto-enable feature, making each port appear to the operating system as a standard COM port without requiring special drivers or code adjustments.
The board installs into standard profile PCI slots and supports both 3.3V and 5V signaling. The included 36" breakout cable terminates to four DB9 male connectors for quick and reliable peripheral interfacing.
