The 7804c ULTRA COMM+8.PCI is a high-density, 8-port asynchronous serial interface designed for industrial-grade communication over RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485. All ports are independently configurable, allowing any combination of electrical interfaces to match your system requirements.

Engineered with the XR17V358 UART, each port supports 256-byte Tx/Rx FIFOs for high-speed throughput exceeding 1 Mbps. In RS-485 mode, the hardware automatically manages the transmitter enable signal, making the 7804c compatible with standard serial applications and eliminating risk of bus contention.

Ideal for environments requiring multiple serial device connections—such as data logging, factory automation, and remote I/O—the board installs into any standard PCI slot and supports communication over long distances up to 4000 feet in RS-422/485 modes.

Sealevel’s SeaCOM software provides full driver support for Windows and Linux systems, ensuring rapid deployment and system integration.
