High-speed, high-voltage optical isolation probe with >1.5 GHz bandwidth, ±60 kV common-mode voltage, and 180 dB CMRR—ideal for accurate differential signal measurements in GaN/SiC-based power circuits..
The FF-1500 Optical Isolation Probe is a next-generation measurement solution built to handle today’s fastest and highest-voltage switching environments. It’s designed specifically for wide bandgap semiconductor applications like GaN and SiC-based inverters, motor drives, and power conversion systems. This precision probe enables reliable signal capture in environments where common-mode noise or ground referencing would otherwise cause instability or error.
The system comprises a probe head, powered by a standard 18650 rechargeable Li-ion battery (sold separately), and an interface box, connected via a 2-meter optical fiber link for complete galvanic isolation. The probe head integrates a high-bandwidth input amplifier and EO converter, and supports different probe tip cables to match measurement range needs—from ±1 V to ±50 V.
The output is delivered via a standard BNC connector to any 50 Ω oscilloscope input. The design ensures exceptional signal fidelity, even under demanding differential and common-mode conditions. It’s ideal for non-ground-referenced signals, such as high-side gate drives and current measurements using shunt resistors in switching power supplies.
